Sunday saw a big day of racing for the Blackchrome Racing team out at @norwoodcyclingclub’s Pakapakanthi Winter Crit series.

In the B grade race we had a strong contingent – with Nick Clark, Tyson Cooper, Michael Man Jimmy Wade and Nils Wartemann all pinning numbers on. Tys was looking very strong all race – he initially kicked off proceedings with a few big attacks to spice things up, and amongst a flurry of attacks from the strongest in the group, he picked the winning move perfectly around the 20 minute mark.  Tys ended up taking third place, a great result – with Nick taking third in a hectic bunch kick.

In C1, Paul Pearce and Adam Bowey were amongst a very strong group of riders. As always, Paul animated the race – spending a number off laps solo off the front of the bunch, making the bunch chase and softening up legs. In the end the race came down to a bunch kick, with Adam taking the win. That’s Adam’s second win in as many races, huge.

In E grade, Abhishek continued his progression – taking second place, completing our trio of podiums. Abhi spent the race shutting down attacks from an increasingly experienced and aggressive bunch, and went long on the final lap to take his place on the podium.

Thanks to James Raison (@rideadelaide) for the amazing photography as always.
