Over the weekend, a bunch of Blackchrome’s crew made the journey out to Lobethal to “enjoy” the Fox Creek Road Race, put on by Adelaide Hills Cycling Club. 

Big result from Harry Hollaway, taking 2nd in U23 at the SA XCO State champs put on by Adelaide MTB Club and Aus Cycling South Australia. 

The weekend just past held host to one of the bigger events on the South Australian cycling calendar, being the Walaroo weekend of the AusCycling South Australia Super Series.

Yesterday kicked off the first race of this year’s @auscyclingsa cyclingsuperseries at the Pakapakanthi Crit Track, with our team present in the Cat 2 Mens race, as well as individuals entered in Cat 3 Men.

Our crew had some success out at the Melrose 6/18h race. Darcy Strudwick, Harry Hollaway and Noah Piggin (+ buddy Justin) netted 2nd place in the 18h race, while Adam Bowey (+ buddy Yovanni) took 2nd in the 6h duo race.

The weekend’s racing saw a strong contingent from the Blackchrome Racing team take on the challenge of Adelaide Hills Cycling Club’s Montacute Road Time Trial.

The weekend’s intermittent rain provided Darcy Strudwick, Harry Hollaway and Noah Piggin with hero dirt conditions over at Adelaide MTB Club’s Flinders XCO on Sunday.

Sunday saw a big day of racing for the Blackchrome Racing team out at @norwoodcyclingclub’s Pakapakanthi Winter Crit series.

The weekend gave us the gift of perfect winter weather for racing – clear skies and calm winds, with temps staying low – but not too low!

The weather turned it on for this edition of Norwood Cycling Club’s Winter Crit series – sure, it was cold, but it was dry. And that’s all that matters – if you don’t have to wash your bike post ride, that’s a win.
